Rosés from Bodegas Sinforiano Stand Out as the Most Awarded in International Competitions
Sinfo, the most renowned rosé wine from Bodegas Sinforiano, experienced its golden year in 2022 — literally. So far, this wine from the DO Cigales has been awarded two Grand Gold Medals in international competitions.
The latest recognition was a Grand Bacchus Gold Medal, which also happened to be the only Grand Bacchus Gold Medal awarded to a rosé wine in this contest.
With this award, Sinfo Rosado was named the Best Rosé of the Competition by the Spanish Union of Tasters and became a contender for the title of Best Wine of Spain 2022, alongside 21 other wines from different categories (reds, sherries, cavas, whites, etc.).
This medal adds to the Grand Gold Medal that Bodegas Sinforiano also won earlier in the year at the Concours Mondial du Rosé, held in Marseille, France.
In the prestigious Concours Mondial du Rosé 2022, out of just 8 Grand Gold Medals awarded worldwide, 2 went to Bodegas Sinforiano (Sinfo Rosado 2021 and 50 Vendimias 2021). Furthermore, at the Rosé Wine Tasting of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2022, Sinforiano was the most awarded winery of the competition, with a total of 6 medals.
These awards once again highlight the excellence of the winery’s rosé wines, establishing it as a true specialist in this category.
However, this is not the first time the winery has received some of the most prestigious international awards. It is worth remembering that Quelías Rosé 2018 won a Grand Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2019, where it was also selected as the Revelation Wine 2019 and received the highest score among all rosés worldwide.
The philosophy of Bodegas Sinforiano is to continue investing in rosé wines, with diverse creations crafted from different grape varieties and techniques. In doing so, the winery protects the varietal heritage of Castilla y León and offers wines that are attractive, delicate, and refreshing.
Their vineyards are cultivated with respect for the environment and with practices specifically adapted to rosé winemaking, preserving primary aromas and flavors, and producing wines with authentic personality and unique character.
